"Miya"
"This little fairy was inspired by a real
human girl. This particular child is very thoughtful and to
my mind rather otherwordly. She often reminded me of the
moody and somewhat mystical females depicted by the
Pre-Raphaelite movement of art in the mid 19th century. She
has qualities that would inspire Romantic poets -- maybe
only a poet could interpret her thoughts. I can imagine an
early photographer spotting this fairy in a bit of
wilderness only to loose her as the emulsion faded on the
glass plate -- she is like a bit of nature, exotic and
elusive, never to be fully
known."
